Adder Definitions 

200 AMP MPU

What is it? 
Main electrical panel upgrade (heart transplant for your house). 
When is it needed? 
Current electrical panel is at max capacity or will be over max capacity with addition of solar system. Variables to consider - current electrical load and main breaker size. 
Recommendations
Include when system exceeds 10 kWs DC 

400 AMP MPU

What is it? 
Main electrical panel upgrade twice as large as the 200.
When is it needed? 
As required by utility 
Recommendations
Include for systems larger than 20 kWs DC 

Attic Run

What is it? 
Conduit run through attic instead of over roof top
When is it needed? 
Homeowner preference 
Recommendations
Don't! I'ts hot enough on the roof. Kidding we will gladly install in microwaves. 

Cancel at the Door

What is it? 
Homeowner turns crew away on day of install. 

Bird Netting

What is it? 
Protection from birds nesting under modules
When is it needed? 
Customer preference

Derates

What is it? 
Alternative main electrical panel solution to prevent MPU 
When is it needed? 
Current electrical panel is at max capacity or will be over max capacity with addition of solar system. Variables to consider - current electrical load and main breaker size. 

Sunlight Backup 

What is it? 
Equipment that allows grid free solar use when paired with Enphase IQ8+ inverters and the sun is shinning. 
When is it needed? 
When customer wants to use solar when sun is out,  but is not concerned with battery storage (when grid is down). 
Recommendations
Must include for IQ8+ inverters to operate as a micro grid. 

Flat Roof 

What is it? 
Racking equipment suited for flat roof applications 
When is it needed? 
On homes with flat roofs 

Ground Mount 

What is it? 
Racking equipment suited for panels connected to the ground
When is it needed? 
When customer prefers a non-roof mounted system 
Recommendations
Requires adequate land area and will always require trenching to main panel

H-Frame 

What is it? 
Structure built to hold solar electrical equipment 
When is it needed? 
Needeed when electrical meter or main panel is not directly mounted on side of customers home 

Load Controller 

What is it? 
Device to assist customer in controlling electrical usage 
When is it needed? 
When customer is located in utility where controlling electrical load is cost advantageous (example SRP) 
Recommendations 
Sell load controller to saver conscious customers in SRP utility area

PE Stamp

What is it? 
3rd Party engineer certifying the structural integrity of customers roof  
When is it needed? 
As required by AHJ and/or certain property types such as single wide mobile homes and flat roofs 
Recommendations 
Include according to attached list 

PE Stamp

What is it? 
3rd Party engineer certifying the electrical capacity of customers roof  
When is it needed? 
As required by AHJ and/or certain property types such as single wide mobile homes and flat roofs 
Recommendations 
Include according to attached list 

Small System

When is it required? 
Systems smaller than 4 kWs 

Sub Panel 

Trenching 

What is it? 
Digging to run conduit and electrical wiring underground 
When is it needed? 
- Ground mounts 
- Electrical meter not connected to home 
- Solar on detached structure 
- 400 AMP MPU 
- MPU relocation required by utility 
Recommendations 
The following quotes are estimates and subject to change based on varying conditions. 

$20 a foot when its a detached structure 
$40 ft/ for (Ground mounts, electrical meter not connected to home, 400 AMP MPU, MPU relocation required by utility) When trench depth 3 ft is required. 
$80 ft/ when trench route must pass through cement, asphalt or other difficult ground conditions (can include,  asphalt, concrete, gravel, garden beds, pavers etc...) 

Travel Adder 

When is it needed? 
Solar install located 60 miles in excess of local warehouse
